| Commercial, transport and cultural heart of Joburg, the inner city offers world-class office space, the full range of accommodation choices, entertainment and wonderful eating experiences. | Baralink is considered to be the gateway to Soweto with the biggest and busiest tax and bus rank located here. The upgraded rank also offers a traders market and links to the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. |
Constitutional Hill is a major tourist attraction and Joburg heritage site, with the country's highest court, the Constitutional Court sharing space with the Old Fort, the old Women’s Jail and Number Four Jail. |

| The 100-year-old Drill Hall was upgraded as a heritage and public open space. The building has a chequered past which includes functioning as a military barracks but is perhaps more famous as the site of the initial stages of the 1950’s Treason Trial. |
The Faraday precinct is a multinodal transport interchange from where commuters have access to various Joburg destinations. Faraday Market, a major centre dedicated to the art of traditional healing, is also located here. | Township architecture is part and parcel of Joburg, with areas such as Soweto, Diepsloot and Orange Farm defining the shape of the City's boundaries. Area-based regeneration continues to turn these marginalised areas into proper business, residential and tourism precincts. | ||
